Scores from IGENITY.
To assist cattle producers in understanding the value
of DNA technology, IGENITY has developed a scoring
system for each trait using a scale of 1 to 10. Higher
values are not necessarily better — they simply
indicate the animal has the potential for more or less of that particular trait.
The values listed in the chart below reflect the
relative difference expected in animals compared
with contemporaries with a score from IGENITY of 1.
